Pen Drive - How Does It Work?

There are many options that are available when you are need to be backing up or saving your data and digital files.

While everyone has different needs and there is no one size fits all option, we need to check the most common data storage devices that are used for backup of data.

The name Pen drive is the term that is used to describe a certain type of universal serial bus (USB) also known as a flash drive.

They are a type of flash memory cards that can be plugged into the USB port of a computer or a mobile device.

This type of flash drive is so small and compact that it can easily fit into the palm of your hand and is easy to carry around.

It is designed to have a flat and rectangular design, that is similar to the shape of a highlighter pen.

The main purpose of Pen drives are used to store data and the storage capacity varies from 32 MB to 128 GB and are removable and rewritable.

Pen drives can be used as replacements or backups for CD drives or floppy disks and, the key to their success lies within their circuit boards.

They consist of a small printed circuit board that provides a base for the pen drive's form and it also serves as a means to collect information.

The microchip that is found within the circuit board is able to extract data with the use of relatively low electrical power.

It is based on a technology that allows writing and erasure processes that activates when a pen drive is connected to a USB port.

The USB port gives the pen drive access to information on a specific computer.

Because most pen drives are formatted using FAT or FAT 32 File systems, they are compatible with almost any USB port found on a computer.
Data is read, transmitted or rewritten from a pen drive to a computer after it is properly connected and manipulated through a program.

After a mobile device is connected to a computer, music can be downloaded to it or extracted from it by the owner.

This is usually completed through programs that are able to interface with pen drives in order to exchange information.
You will find companies that specialize in technology are working to improve on the pen drive when it comes to its limited storage capacity.

Meanwhile, the pen drive is being marketed in a variety of ways in order to attract the attention of the consumer.

The developers of the pen drive are finding unique and innovative ways to make it accessible to everyone.

Although the two terms are sometimes used interchangeably, "USB" and "pen drive" refer to different computer technologies.

USB refers to the data transfer and peripheral connection system used to move data from a computer hard drive to different appliances and a pen drive can be described as a portable memory stick used to store information from a computer.

The pen drive is the memory stick itself, while USB describes the system by which data is ported from the computer to the pen drive.

While flash drives are generally much more expensive, they share many of the same benefits as a traditional HDD solution; easy, quick to access and portable.

Flash is also a great media for sharing or easily distributing data but it also shares one of the biggest drawbacks of HDD which is longevity.

The lifespan of a USB flash drive about the same as HDD, depending on factors like the use and the storage environment.

This number can vary greatly depending on the quality and one must stay away from cheap USB flash drives if using for backup.

Culture conflict in globalization

Globalization is a phenomenon that has made its presence felt in our daily lives and has changed the way we live and has led to the interaction between diverse cultures through convergence of world views, products and ideas, whereby cultural conflict can make or break a business that is trying to establish itself in a foreign country. One of the strategies that make a difference when it comes to establishing a successful presence in a foreign land is effective communication. This includes not just language and does not include only English as although English is the global language of doing business, many countries prefer to function in their local language which can be a cause for concern but this problem is minimized as most countries have a sizeable population who are bilingual and are comfortable with using English despite the fact that it is not their mother tongue. Non-verbal communication also plays an important role and one needs to be aware of the cultural nuances and cu...

Touch Screen Technology Explained

A  touch screen  is a display screen that is found on computers, laptops, smartphones and tablets that works as a visual input device with screens that are sensitive to pressure. The user interacts with the computer screen without the appearance of physical keyboard just by clicking the pictures or words that appear on the screen. Touch screen that are found in devices like smartphones and tablets are designed to keep the fingerprints from being visible. It is a bigger screen that fits in well with the multi media functions are the ones that are found on the latest mobiles.  One can watch videos, movies or TV shows that makes it easier to view on a larger surface area that covers the the complete screen of the mobile. It does away with the keypad and for  music, photographs and videos, you hardly need buttons and you only need camera buttons when you take a picture.  It makes sense for these to be designed to appear on the screen, rather than to stick...

Software Testing - An Overview

Software testing is a process that is implemented to check the quality and result of the software or application being developed.  It is done to allow the companies to understand and appreciate the risks that are involved during software implementation.  It helps to point out the defects and errors that were made during the development phases and is used to makes sure of the customer reliability and satisfaction in the application. Testing allows developers to deliver software that meets expectations, prevents unexpected results, and improves the long term use of the application. It also depends the purpose of testing and the software requirements, the appropriate methodologies are applied.     Test techniques include the process of executing a program or application with the intent of finding bugs, errors or other defects, and verifying that the software is fit for use. You need to verify that the completed software package functions according ...
